Product details
Christine Pan is a Sydney based composer known for her
versatility in style and malleability in form.
Motions of Equinox is a response to the composer's
reflections on the trajectory of human relationships and the
forces placed upon them: how they pass through times of pressure
and how they are either strenghtened or break.
Written in close collaboration with the performer, virtuoso
harpist Kate Moloney, the techniques of the instrument take on
symbolic meaning: intricate rythms shared between the player's
left and right hands as they work towards finding the perfect
balance for the melody that emerges from their shifting
patterns.
