Product details
This kit looks at three works by Ross Edwards, one of Australia's most prominent contemporary composers. The activities require reference to the score and recordings of these pieces which are included in the kit. The scores are Ecstatic Dance for viola and cello, Ulpirra for solo recorder and Prelude and Dragonfly Dance for percussion quartet, with the accompanying Tall Poppies recording Ecstatic Dances.
For students unused to score-reading, musical analysis and aural
work such as dictation, these pieces are excellent vehicles in
getting to know the compositional processes involved.
Contents note: 1 teacher's booklet -- 1 CD ('Ecstatic dances'. Tall Poppies: TP051) -- 3 scores: 'Prelude and dragonfly dance' ; 'Ecstatic dance (for viola and cello) ; Ulpirra (for recorder).
