Work Overview
As with the rest of the "content" series, the later pieces are increasingly overt expressions concerned with exploring the harmonic logic of J.S.Bach.
Movement 1, l'espace existentiel, fuses Bach's harmony with contemporary rhythmic formations.
Movement 2, (au delà de) la mauvaise foi, takes its inspiration from Sartre, with a dedication to two unique composers, Morton Feldman and Galina Ustwolskaja.
Movement 3, καλοκἀγαθία (Kalokagathia), draws inspiration from Plato (the good) as well as Immanuel Kant (the sublime); the Bachian harmony begins to transform into something suggestive of jazz towards the end.
