Work Overview

'Don't Look Now' is the title of the first movement. It is a lively, funky work in quadruple time. The tonal centre is C and the melody incorporates the notes of the blues scale with the addition the flattened 2nd, and chromatic scale segments. Duration 01'18".

'Gaze around at the colours' is the title of the second movement. This gently lilting work is in triple time with a haunting melody in the key of A minor. Duration 02'08".

'Look into my eyes' is the title of the third movement. This is lively dance-like work in quadruple time. The modal harmonies together with the syncopated rhythms make this composition somewhat reminiscent of Medieval Dance tunes. There are two contrasting sections: the A section is in the key of E minor and the B section transitions to C#minor. Duration 02'19".
