Work Overview
The title refers to the composer's dreams which are often filled with ideas for new compositions. The first section is a D minor blues with modal aspects. The soprano saxophone melody is accompanied by a bass ostinato. The second section is in an African 12/8 feel in G minor. A return to the bass ostinato follows, now in F minor. Layers of ostinato patterns bring the piece to a an end. There are solos for soprano and tenor saxophone. Influences of jazz, African and art music prevail.
