Score

Prelude and fugue : for solo piano / Philip Jameson.

Library shelf no. 786.2/JAM 2 [Available for loan]

Work Overview

The prelude pits angular triads against fiendish runs up and down the keyboard, quickly evolving into a grotesque hybrid of two competing musical ideas. But as quickly as the prelude began, it is over, and these competing musical ideas manage to come together as the subject and countersubject of a hushed fugue.
