Crossed Stars : for solo piano / Robert McIntyre.
Library shelf no. 786.2/MCI 3 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
Crossed Stars is a piece centred around a newly created non-octaving mode, designed on exploring the duality between the black and white keys of the piano, whilst also delving into rhythmic techniques and the extended use of pedalling. Playing on the expression of 'star-crossed lovers', this work focuses on the individuality of the mode when separated and the underlying connectedness when merged together.
