Work Overview

My Folksongs for Band are dedicated to the memory of Percy Grainger, and mostly use his variation and passacaglia forms in treating folksong. The movements of the 2nd Suite are: 1. The Jolly Sailor; 2. O Shepherd, O Shepherd, Won't You Come Home?; 3. Rufford Park Poachers; 4. Keel Row. The last movement depicts a folkdance for the musical and unmusical.
