Event Details
The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra's La Serenissima is a concert program consisting of music from the golden age of Venice and a new choral work by the Australian composer Richard Mills entitled Passion according to St Mark. The new work continues the grand tradition of 16th and 17th-century Venetian choral music: divided choir, antiphonal brass and vocal soloists offering a stirring and poignant account of the Passion narrative.
Featured non-Australian music: Gabrieli, Vivaldi
