This resource is to assist educators in accessing, understanding and teaching Australian chamber music to students in the classroom environment. The resource is primarily for secondary school students and can be incorporated in classroom programs from Years 9-12. The content of this resource includes an introduction to the chamber music in Australia as well as the discussion, who can play chamber music. This is followed by an overview of the three composers Anne Cawrse, Connor D'Netto and Christine Pan which precedes the discussion of these composers and their works with detailed listening guides. Towards the end of the kit are teaching prompts/ideas to assist with the presentation and study of these works in the classroom. These prompts or tasks have been divided into Listening/Musicology, Performance and Composition.
