Digital Sheet Music [PDF]: ScoreBlack disciples : for three low voices and a.m radio static [eScore] / Cat Hope.by Cat Hope (2013)
|
Product details
The Black Disciples are a large African American street gang based in Chicago in the USA. They use the roman numeral III as an identifying symbol, representing 'mind, body and soul', which are featured the closing words of the piece. The work explores the relationship of long, low sung words and the way they interact with radio static. The numeral is turned on its side, drawn out and distorted, the cracking subharmonics of the dry, low male voices cut off abruptly by the sound of different syllables.
