In Two Minds (Gemini song) is an arrangement for violin and piano of the third song in Margaret Brandman's 'Cosmic Wheel of the Zodiac' Song Cycle. The melody was inspired by the lyrics of astropoet Benita Rainer.
'Those born under the sign of Gemini may frequently change their point of view, and can change their minds quite easily about any aspect of their lives'.
In Two Minds reflects the dual nature of this first air sign. The key of the work at the outset is G Major however harmonies of the song move between G Major and C Major - 'two minds - two keys' and the work finishes in C Major.
It was first performed by Violinist Vov Dylan together with composer/pianist Margaret Brandman in Sydney, Australia in April 2021.
