Mo Chaora Bhán - (My little white lamb) is a lullaby that I learnt from the singing of Máiread Casey. I have combined it with the soothing sound of waves breaking on the shore. This is a rearrangement of the first oart of my flute quartet Strolling on the Strand. The Banks of Sullane is a song I first heard sung by Jimmy Crowley and later Niamh Parsons. It describes a story of doomed lovers who meet by the river Sullane in west Cork but are forbidden by her father to continue the relationship. Jigs - the first jig 'Carry me up to Carrigaline' is one I composed, the second 'The Blue Angel ' was written by Liam King and is also known as 'The King's Fancy'. The third jig 'An Seanduine Dóite' or 'The Burnt-out Old Man' is a popular session tune also known in the fife and drum band world as 'The Campbell's are coming'
