Work Overview

Like smokes from the ignited incense, interweaving, intertwining and conversing; drawing across the air, filter through the space, then slowly dissipates. Leaving the room as one has found it before, with a hint of their combined scent, lingering.

Instrumentation: Guqin, (special container of prepared sponge squares and other soft objects), cello, clarinet in Bb, trumpet in C (doubling cymbal (small/medium), bassoon, violin, percussion (1 player: 4 Tibetan Singing bowls of various sizes, Tar/Frame drum, Marimba, Special container of prepared sponge squares and other soft objects).

Duration: 8 min.
