11 Oct 2012 Tan Dun masterclass in Adelaide: open ears, open minds by Lachlan Skipworth and Annie Hsieh
Over the past four months, six young Australian composers - Annie Hui-Hsin Hsieh, Lachlan Skipworth, Tristan Coelho, Melody Eötvös, Christopher Larkin and Timothy Tate - have been busy with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra's 2012 composer residency program. In September, five of them were involved in a masterclass with Tan Dun. Annie Hsieh and Lachlan Skipworth wrote down some of their thoughts during the intense 2-hour session.
5 Sep 2017 Cathy Milliken joins the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra by Australian Music Centre
Composer Cathy Milliken has been appointed the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra's Composer in Association for a period of three years from 2018. The appointment includes the commission of three major works, as well as other involvement as part of the ASO's leadership team, including outreach and participatory projects.
