Work Overview

Caliban's dream: Aeolian erosion is an electroacoustic work intended for diffusion over multichannel speaker array. The piece was created using granular processing of recorded acoustic sounds, creating long time stretches, independent pitch transformations and pulling the sounds apart into individual grains and pulses of sound. The original recorded sound material was selected based on its sonic, spectral and envelope properties. A 5.1 multichannel recording of the work was released on the 2010 issue of the Computer Music Journal DVD.
