The works of the year categories are sourced through APRA's members database. The work must have at least a 50% composer interest by an APRA member. The work must have been performed publicly (i.e. by broadcast or concert performance) for the first time in the calendar year prior to the year of the Award , or commercially released for the first time as a recording in the calendar year prior to the year of the Award.
