Work Overview

A piece written on the 9 Muses of ancient Greece, with music appropriate to the areas of which each was goddess. Designed to be a colourful, "own choice" kind of work, showing off every section of the band at some point, in 9 different types of music.

Instrumentation: 4 solo cornets, soprano cornet, repiano cornet, 2 2nd cornets, 2 3rd cornets, flugel horn, 3 tenor horns, 2 baritone horns, 3 trombones, 3 euphoniums, 2 basses in E flat, 2 basses in B flat, timpani, percussion.

Duration: 13 min.

Difficulty: Advanced — A grade band
