Based on the autobiographical novel by T.G.H. Strehlow with a libretto by Gordon Kalton Williams.

Instrumentation: Boy soprano, bass baritone, 2 narrators/actors, SA choir, SATB choir, 2 flutes (2nd doubling piccolo), 2 oboes (2nd doubling cor anglais), 2 clarinets in B flat, bass clarinet in B flat, 2 bassoons (2nd doubling contra-bassoon), 4 horns in F, 3 trumpets in C, 2 tenor trombones, bass trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion (5 players), harp, electronic organ, strings.

Duration: 55 min.
