Work Overview

There are four movements: 1. La Joie; 2. La Promenade; 3. Le Blues; 4 Le Grand Canon Romantique. Although the original pieces were separate movements, the style of each has something in common with French romanticism, hence the creation of the suite.

Instrumentation: Piccolo, flutes, oboes, clarinets in B flat, bass clarinets in B flat, contra alto clarinet, bassoons, alto saxophones, tenor saxophones, baritone saxophones, trumpets in B flat, horns in F, trombones, euphoniums, tubas, timpani, percussion.

Duration: 11 min.
