Product details

Women of Note is ABC Classic's annual album series celebrating Australia's female composers. This fourth edition, released in time for International Women's Day on 8 March, features 14 composers and includes music by Indigenous composers Brenda Gifford and Lou Bennett, the Flinders Quartet's recent world premiere recording of Margaret Sutherland's Quartet for Cor anglais and strings, Miriam Hyde as the soloist in her 1975 landmark recording of her own Second Piano Concerto, award-winning jazz artist Andrea Keller displaying her classical talent with I Surrender, and Rósalind Page's sublime Birds of Heaven for saxophone and piano duo.
