Work Overview

Taking It Easy is written in classic Ternary form structure - A A B A. The A section is in A minor while the contrasting B section goes into the relative major key of C. Each time A recurs, there is a slight variation in voicing.

The Abridged version uses only the A section played twice, the opening version and the final version. It can also be used by more advanced pianists for sight-reading practice.
