Product details
Following a fanfare-like opening, this work contains quasi-Medieval melodic and rhythmic figures repeated in canon as the choir processes. The work was composed so that the choir was assembled on the 'stage' at the front of the cathedral by approximately bar 71. The work can be performed with the choir placed in a static position but is probably best memorised and performed as a processional. The text is simply a pair of simple Latin phrases extolling the virtues of music and singing. "Life is music; music is life".
Published by: Australian Music Centre — 1 facsimile score (29p. -- A4 (portrait))
Difficulty: Advanced — The work contains some challenging rhythmic writing - although this is tempered to an extent by the fact that most of the rhythmic patterns are repeated many times.
