Work Overview
The title Air has a number of connotations: it can refer to the musical form Air or Aria or it also denotes breath - that which a wind instrument requires to work (and also to keep us alive!). The music extends out in long, overlapping lines which can be deceptively simple. A vocal or singing quaiity is a strong characterstic of the piece.
